	The mission of RP Architects, Inc. is to provide quality services to our Clients through design and construction excellence above and beyond our Clients’ expectations; thus, the firm's motto: "Serving Clients Through Professional Excellence”. It is the firm’s desire that each project respond to the Client’s program, functional needs and budget requirements, while at the same time answering the need for quality design, planning and sustainability to our built environment. These services will be provided to our Clients with qualified staff in a fun, professional, educational, challenging and safe environment while providing our staff with opportunities for professional growth in the profession and our firm.

	Rich Pontius began providing part-time architectural services in March of 1992 for new, single-family residential homes, custom and speculative, as well as additions and remodelings to existing homes, mostly located in central Ohio. On February 24, 1997, Rich formed his own firm and became a Limited Liability Company in January 1999. For several years the firm was known as "Rich Pontius, AIA, ARCHITECT, Ltd." In April 2003, the firm name was changed to RP Architects, Ltd. and in January 2004 the firm became an S-Corporation. Today, the firm is a general practice firm with a specialization in publicly-bid projects, particularly municipal and township projects. These projects include fire stations, meeting halls, senior centers, community centers and maintenance facilities. General practice projects include retirement facilities, recreational facilities, churches, corporate offices, interior tenant improvements, medical offices, automobile dealerships, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and retail centers. Residential projects include new custom homes, additions to and remodelings of existing homes. The firm provides building programming, feasibility studies, site analysis, master planning, building and zoning code analysis including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), construction management, cost analysis, energy analysis, and historic preservation. In addition, we provide interior design services, including selection of furnishings, as a sole service to Clients and as an integral part of our architectural projects.
